Disney’s Corporate Alliances team develops and holistically manages complex, long-term, multi-dimensional relationships with select brands and companies. Corporate Alliances is dedicated to driving incremental value for The Walt Disney Company (TWDC) and its Partners through development of innovative marketing and sponsorship programs, management of partner and business unit relationships, and creation of new partnerships aligned with TWDC’s businesses and strategic goals.
The Alliance Promotions team’s role is critical in helping secure and protect key renewals and fees from Alliance Partners. This team manages the development and execution of high-quality, co-branded marketing campaigns across multiple distribution channels for a robust portfolio of partners.
The Senior Manager, Partnership Marketing will work closely with Corporate Alliances’ Creative teams, key business stakeholders across TWDC, and external partners to drive the development and execution of integrated partnership campaigns.
Responsibilities:
Manage campaigns of varied scale and types – some global in nature with mass-reach multi-platform photo/video elements, others regional/hyper-targeted, and some location-based experiential.
Maintain strong relationships with Alliance Management account leads, internal creative team, key Disney LOB stakeholders, and key external stakeholders at partner companies.
Anticipate needs for creative marketing support across Alliance Management and Card Services teams; work with direct report, Creative Services Manager, and internal creative team to evaluate bandwidth and prioritize work as needed.
Implement tactical execution of alliance marketing programs; ensure all projects stay on track by overseeing scope, budget, and deliverables.
Route creative assets for internal and external approvals.
Oversee one direct report (Partnership Marketing Manager); the Senior Manager should have a keen sense for when to lead projects, when to work in tandem with the Partnership Marketing Manager, and when to set the Partnership Marketing Manager up for success and fully delegate.
Travel required 10-20% of the time, often for production; productions may require non-conventional working hours.
Basic Qualifications:
7+ years experience in partnership marketing and/or entertainment marketing.
Experience leading a direct report.
Experience working with both Creative teams and business teams.
Knowledge of partnership marketing and large scale, global and multi-platform campaigns.
Production knowledge; experience contracting and overseeing photo/video and experiential production vendors.
Detail-oriented and incredibly organized, with a strong work ethic and a team-focused mentality.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to anticipate needs, meet deadlines, and multitask, all with absolute professionalism and confidentiality.
Skilled leader with strong instincts for when to stay involved, when to delegate, and when to escalate.
Problem solver; willing to be flexible/adaptable as projects may evolve and change directions.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required. Major in Marketing, Entertainment, Communications, Film/Television, Advertising is preferred.
The hiring range for this position in California is $124,900 to $167,500 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
