Your New Role

The Paralegal will be a key member of the Ad Sales Legal team supporting Warner Bros. Discovery US Ad Sales team. This role will provide paralegal support for the Ad Sales Legal team, including helping to create and track contracts for the business. 

Your Role Accountabilities

  • Support of the ad sales legal team with timely review and management of contracts across the organization

  • Review existing contract terms to determine if requested terms and provisions are aligned with current company contract guidelines and highlight any special terms that should be escalated for further consideration.

  • Drafting amendments to insert updated Privacy terms, Infosec Terms, DTAs, Ethics Language

  • Draft and proofread new contracts, renewals, nondisclosures, termination letters, and partner with appropriate team members as necessary.

  • Manage contract signature process, including confirmations of approvals for signature and preparing and sending contracts for final execution.

  • Respond in a timely fashion to requests from business partners on contract questions and provide technical and/or procedural guidance.

  • Maintain and manage legal contract repository for legal team.

  • Support of the ad sales legal team with review of creative materials for clearance for use in ad sales pitch materials, sizzle reels and other assets. 

  • Updating SharePoint sites with new iterations of documentation/guidelines and assisting with the management of various playbooks. 

  • Managing team calendars and assisting with scheduling of meetings.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 4+ years of paralegal/contract management experience in an office environment required.

  • Media and Entertainment industry preferred.

  • Prior in-house legal department experience preferred.

  • Ability to read legal documents for understanding and think critically.  Excellent document review and organization skills.  Must be able to draft and interpret contracts

  • Excellent organization skills.

  • Ability to maintain a confidential environment, discretion is essential.

  • Able to pay close attention to detail and understand written and oral instructions and spot errors and inconsistencies.

  • Knowledge of file set-up, maintenance and filing procedures

  • Able to be proactive, take initiative, and work independently.

  • Great research skills.

  • Have the ability to work well under time constraints and meet deadlines.

  • Able to handle multiple tasks and prepare work summaries for attorney review.

  • College degree

  • Paralegal certification a plus

  • Notary certification a plus

  • Highly Proficient with standard document creation and business communication software, such as Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe, Zoom, AdobeSign, One Drive, Sharepoint, etc.

Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $62,797.00 - $116,624.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
