We are seeking a Senior Director of Integrated Marketing to bring our mission to life by connecting our journalism, digital products, and subscription services with key audiences in innovative and impactful ways.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in full-funnel marketing strategy and the ability to collaborate across multiple teams to drive brand initiatives. You will play a key role in identifying high-value brand opportunities and developing integrated marketing strategies that elevate the AJC's presence. From ideation to execution, this role will oversee impactful campaigns that align with our growth objectives.

Reporting to the Head of Growth Marketing, this position will focus on driving brand engagement and ensuring that AJC's marketing efforts are aligned with its strategic vision.

Responsibilities/Competencies
  • Brand Leadership: Oversee and maintain brand guidelines, ensuring consistency in brand voice, architecture, and application across all channels.
  • Campaign Management: Lead the planning and execution of integrated marketing campaigns, from concept to completion, ensuring they align with the company's growth and business objectives.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with teams across creative, growth, partnerships, paid media, and product to develop strategic, full-funnel marketing briefs. Work with media leads and agencies to optimize budget allocation and campaign impact.
  • Strategic Brand Development: Lead quarterly brand strategy sessions to scale digital products, services, and campaigns, while prioritizing internal and agency resources to support key initiatives.
  • Campaign Execution: Own the end-to-end execution of integrated marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment with internal stakeholders, senior leadership, and external agencies during all key phases.
  • Audience Insights: Collaborate with research, product, and growth teams to uncover audience insights that inform marketing strategies, shift perceptions, launch new products, and reinforce AJC's value proposition.
  • Measurement & Optimization: Develop and implement robust measurement frameworks to track campaign performance, aligning teams and partners on goals, key performance indicators (KPIs), and customer feedback.
  • Performance & Reporting: Participate in regular planning sessions and performance reviews, assessing campaign impact against key objectives and growth metrics.
  • Brand Activation: Work closely with content, events, and sports marketing teams to develop unique brand experiences that resonate with the Atlanta community and maximize AJC's assets.


EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience: 12+ years of experience leading integrated marketing strategies for media or consumer brands. Experience in subscription-based models is a plus.
  • Team Leadership: Proven experience managing and collaborating with both internal teams and external creative agencies.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong familiarity with digital media organizations, journalistic principles, and the fast-paced news cycle.
  • Digital Expertise: Deep understanding of digital media and marketing ecosystems, particularly with social and paid media platforms.
  • Collaboration: A highly collaborative, self-motivated leader who is passionate about championing the brand and its mission both internally and externally.
  • Event Marketing: Experience in event marketing and activations that support and enhance brand KPIs.
  • Location: This role is based in Atlanta and requires in-person collaboration with senior leadership. A strong connection to Atlanta's culture and a passion for local sports, politics, arts, and/or food is highly desirable.


EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience (BA/BS + 12 years of experience, MS + 10 years of experience OR Ph.D. with 7+ years of experience OR 16+ years of relevant experience with no degree)


    USD 156,200.00 - 260,400.00

    Compensation:

    Compensation includes a base salary of $156,200.00 - $260,400.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
