As the Strategic Finance Manager at Betches, you’ll play a key role in shaping our financial strategy, working on high-impact initiatives that go beyond traditional finance roles.

Reporting to the SVP of Finance, you’ll work cross-functionally across finance, commercial, and operations teams to lead financial reporting, channel growth planning, and track key customer metrics like user growth and churn. Your entrepreneurial mindset will help us not just meet our goals, but exceed them—building a framework for scalable growth and operational efficiency.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of monthly forecasts and long-range financial plans.
  • Support the development of annual budgets, preparation of monthly & quarterly reporting, and financial forecast packages for senior management.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Sales, Finance,Insights, etc.) to identify opportunities, assist in key strategic decision making and continuously improve financial processes and systems.
  • Develop ad-hoc financial models to support decision-making and investment opportunities.
  • Monitor and analyze the economic conditions of the ad marketplace and relevant industries, providing insights to guide sales strategies and pricing changes.
  • Work on our growth planning process, monitoring efficiency and setting targets by business segments and ensuring we’re tracking towards our longer-term goals
  • Participate in and drive key company initiatives such as product launches, marketing/promo campaigns, and pricing changes, ensuring alignment with financial goals.

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of experience in finance (e.g. investment banking, private equity, accounting), consulting, or at a high-growth start-up; experience within media, technology, or digital advertising preferred but not required
  • Strong quantitative and technical skills, including advanced proficiency in Excel and modeling;
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments, managing multiple tasks and priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and project management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously.
  • A customer service-oriented mindset with the ability to develop and maintain strong working partnerships across all levels of the organization.
  • Problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and provide solutions and recommendations to drive results.
  • Adaptability to changing plans and priorities in a dynamic environment, with a focus on long-term goals and delivering short-term wins.
  • Curious, proactive, and solution-oriented approach to all work tasks.

Compensation

The expected annual base salary for this role is $80,000 - $90,000. Final offers for this role will be made within the parameters of the salary range provided. Years of experience, skills, and other factors such as location are considered when determining the salary offered.
