We are looking for a VFX Artist to join us as we build cutting-edge technology solutions! This is your opportunity to be part of a team that is committed to delivering best in class service to our customers.

In this role, you will be a key contributor to the visual effects team, responsible for developing and optimizing cutting-edge particle and atmospheric effects that enhance immersive, photorealistic visuals. You will collaborate with various departments, including Art, Tech, and Engineering, to deliver VFX that meet both creative and technical goals, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience for users.


Responsibilities:

  • Identify efficient VFX authoring workflows in collaboration with Engine and Tech Art teams.
  • Create new particle effects using proprietary systems.
  • Develop procedural content and texture maps for VFX systems (e.g., clouds, weather).
  • Use a node-based system to author materials for enhanced particle visuals.
  • Integrate VFX systems into car and environment content packages.
  • Ensure VFX systems meet or stay under performance budgets.
  • Collaborate with Art Directors to maintain a photorealistic visual style aligned with game visuals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Graphic Arts, Art, or a related field.
  • Experience creating VFX for at least one AAA title.
  • Ability to take art direction and improve visuals.
  • Strong knowledge of 3D content creation tools (Houdini preferred).
  • Familiarity with next-generation content creation techniques.
  • Expertise in creating high-fidelity VFX with performance budget constraints.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work under deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience with Houdini or other major 3D software.
  • Proven track record of collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience in the gaming industry, particularly with high-budget, photorealistic titles.

Salary Range

Pay ranges vary based on multiple factors including, without limitation, skill sets, education, responsibilities, experience, and geographical market. The pay range for this position reflects geographic based ranges for Washington state: $62,000 to X $73,000/annually. The salary/wage and job title for this opening will be based on the selected candidate's qualifications and experience and may be outside this range.
