• Event Management: Support the execution of 8-12 annual Virgin Unite trips, gatherings, and events aligned with social impact goals.
• Planning and Coordination: Develop project plans, manage logistics, and create necessary materials for events, including briefings and presentations.
• Speaker and Entertainment Management: Establish and maintain relationships with social impact speakers and entertainers, coordinating their involvement in Virgin Unite events.
• Compliance and Tracking: Ensure adherence to Virgin's safeguarding policies and implement a system for tracking event impact in accordance with data protection guidelines.
• Operational Tools Development: Create and maintain event planning tools, including a central event calendar, team event manual, and policy document for all gatherings.
• Team Support and Reporting: Contribute to team communications, board papers, and reports, while managing specific team projects as required.

What you’ll need

• Exceptional Organizational Skills: Adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously, with strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Event Planning Expertise: Experience in designing and producing themed events with structured outcomes, including budget management and working with high-profile individuals.
• Excellent Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, coupled with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
• Adaptability and Problem-Solving: Comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, with a forward-thinking and solution-focused approach.
• Social Sector Background: Experience in non-profit, government, social impact, or philanthropy sectors, with skills in data management and understanding of social issues.

The extra details

Role type: Permanent

Location: New York (approx. 1 day per week) & your home space

Salary: $112,500 - $137,500, depending on experience
