Job Purpose
The Part-time Seasonal Film & TV Festival Volunteer Staffing Coordinator is an event professional with experience in volunteer and personnel management, event production, and film festival operations. This position oversees a team of volunteers, ensuring goals and objectives are met while maintaining event timelines. The candidate in this role will engage in daily tasks that further the department's productivity and assist in achieving successful outcomes for both direct reports and their areas of responsibility.

During the event, standing for long periods and walking multiple miles a day is frequently required. Schedules may vary during the on-site operational period. Manual dexterity is needed for keyboard and computer use.
Work Location & Schedule
The part-time seasonal position is located in Austin, Texas. It requires 10 hours per week from January 6 to April 18, 2025. Core business office hours are Monday through Friday, 10 am to 6 pm CT. Full-time availability is required from March 3 to March 15. Some evenings and weekends are required. If available, company leadership will determine whether a hybrid or flex schedule is possible. You must stay on-site during the event for up to 14 days.

Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Plan and coordinate film festival volunteer operations, including recruitment, supply organization, and event management.
- Lead and train volunteer managers, create and update training materials, and ensure effective volunteer training.
- Ensure safety by implementing and enforcing safety measures and providing necessary resources.
- Communicate with stakeholders to support event operations, meet budget goals, and manage administrative tasks.
- Enhance customer service, support departmental and company-wide activities, and uphold company policies and procedures.
- Direct and support volunteer managers and crew, ensuring smooth operations and addressing conflicts.
- Oversee volunteer operations and support film production staff with resource allocation.
- Provide customer service to attendees, personnel, and volunteers, and resolve issues to prevent disruptions.
- Document challenges and request assistance using established reporting methods.
- Reinforce company policies and serve as a role model for others.
Qualifications include:
- 1+ years of volunteer management experience
- Background in event production and film festival operations
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create grammatically correct documentation in the English language
- Ability to speak in front of large, diverse groups of people
- Highly organized with keen attention to detail
- Confidence in making decisions while working under pressure
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively produce and manage schedules and training materials
- Comfortable working independently and with a team
- Ability to prioritize and manage timelines
- Knowledge of Google Workspace, MS Office, Airtable, and a willingness to learn new software
