What you will do
As an intern on the Employee Communications team, you will have the chance to turn your classroom skills into real-world experience in a lively, fast-paced environment. We connect with all Disney Experiences Cast Members, Crew Members, Imagineers, and employees globally, and we also partner with various teams across the organization. This is an opportunity to grow your corporate communication and partnership skills with us while using your creativity to bring global campaigns to life. A day in a life with our team may look like this:
- Help amplify communications from partners to DX.
- Write articles for Disney Cast Life Web/App, write email distributions, and assist with the creation and distribution of newsletters.
- Support the Tech & Digital and Finance lines of business.
- Assist with global campaigns such as Global Recognition Week, Legacy Award, Administrative Professionals Week, and many more.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Shown proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
- Experience writing for a variety of communication types (i.e., articles, emails, etc.).
- Excellent oral/written communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to learn new tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of Salesforce
- Experience with WordPress or similar tools.
- Park operations experience.
- Passionate about the Disney brand or previous Disney experience.
- Design experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva or other designing tools
Education
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree (or recent graduate) in Communications, Journalism, Digital Media, or other relevant area.
- Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (summer/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at the time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
- Possess unrestricted work authorization.
Additional Information
- Be compliant with Disney Look appearance guidelines.
- Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship.
- The approximate dates of this internship are January 2025 through June 2025.
- Able to work FULL-TIME hours (approximately 40 per week) for the duration of the internship.
- Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work.
