Job Description

The Rights Management Coordinator will perform a variety of tasks relating to claiming and monetization on fingerprinting platforms, such as YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, & SoundCloud, and will be responsible for providing high-level, internal support for our label managers to ensure client issues are resolved immediately.

What you'll do

  • Respond to and resolve Zendesk tickets and email requests with speed and accuracy, while following outlined department protocols.
  • Maintain multiple, daily operational tasks, such as YouTube CMS queues and quality assurance processes, to ensure proper management of The Orchard's digital assets, partnered channels, and claims on fingerprinting platforms.
  • Organize, maintain, and resolve artist representation and metadata issues on fingerprinting platforms involving The Orchard's catalog.
  • Work closely with team members, management, and other departments to communicate issues and roadblocks pertaining to department projects and processes.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of proprietary platform technology and their processes, with the ability to quickly learn new platforms and processes as needed.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Who You Are

  • Office-first role, in office 4 days a week
  • Experience in data, entertainment, or legal fields
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Docs
  • Experience working in a CMS, such as YouTube CMS, Facebook Rights Manager, or SoundCloud Deck
  • Experience working in ticketing systems, such as Zendesk
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; impeccable follow-up and follow-through capabilities
  • Well-organized and attentive to detail
  • Love of research, an innate sense of curiosity, and the desire to learn
  • Discerning eye and ear for audio and visual content; bonus points for specialized knowledge of independent music or niche genres
  • Basic knowledge of copyright and current popular music landscape
  • Comfort in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, and able to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
  • Fluency in a second language is highly preferred
