Job Summary/Description:

Alaska's News Source is seeking a dynamic leader with experience in multi-platform marketing to develop, implement, and execute its marketing efforts to grow viewership with linear and streaming audiences and oversee commercial production. The ideal candidate has strong skills in brand-building and is an expert visual storyteller with skills in writing and cinematography. This individual is a hands-on producer, with knowledge of digital and social media marketing trends and platforms.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and oversee all elements of station branding and promotional campaigns
  • Collaborate with sales team and clients for advertising campaigns on television and digital
  • Craft strategic partnerships with nonprofit organizations and Alaskan businesses
  • Lead a team of creative professionals
  • Showcase exceptional video production skills, including writing, directing, cinematography, editing, and graphic design
  • Exhibit a high level of organization and time management to ensure the timely delivery of projects
  • Candidate will work closely with the General Manager, News Director, and General Sales Manager
  • Candidate will be a working manager with the ability to shoot and edit commercials and station promos
  • Represent KTUU at community events and public engagements
  • Manage promotional inventory on our family of channels, including promotions for syndicated programs

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • College degree preferred
  • Candidate must be an effective communicator
  • Candidate must be an expert visual storyteller with strong skills in writing, cinematography, and Adobe Creative Suite editing programs.
  • Graphic Design skills a plus
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Familiar with AP Style and writing/distributing press releases
  • Ability to learn new software
  • All candidates must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record
