LA Managed Services is looking for an exceptional Production Designer, Motion Graphics. This is a 12-month contract. This role is embedded within one of our largest clients. In this role you will be creating a variety of digital assets used to engage and attract consumers on a high profile streaming platform. You must have a passion for storytelling, with a blend of creative and technical production skills, and a strong understanding of Broadcast. You will be working alongside teams of designers, editors, and producers to scale artwork for use in the streaming app. The ideal candidate for the role relishes in the details of the production design process and understands how to navigate daily art production at a high volume.

What You’ll Do:

You will be responsible for creating and processing large volumes of consumer-facing graphics for use across a television platform. Creating these graphics include composing, animating and leading vendors in daily art reviews of both motion and still graphics—you must be comfortable working in an iterative process. The graphics will need localization so sensitivity to topography and composition is essential. Communication on an individual and group setting is one of the biggest components of this role.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Experience creating and delivering broadcast graphics;
  • Knowledge of insert graphic systems, creation, execution & deployment;
  • A strong understanding of motion and animation, design & typography principles;
  • An extreme attention to detail and ability to adhere to design guidelines and specifications for a given project;
  • Experienced in developing and executing campaigns, and has an advanced understanding of what makes content engaging and successful across digital channels and audiences;
  • Stylistic breadth and fluent in digital design & broadcast design;
  • Clear and concise communication and organizational skills;
  • Experience working cross-functionally to build artwork scale solutions;
  • Strong understanding of template usage and batching processes for image exports;
  • Experience delivering designs across many screen sizes and formats;
  • Diligence in file-naming structures and file organization;
  • Ability to work quickly and with multiple points of feedback and changes;
  • Experience with Localization on static and motion graphics;
  • Prior experience in a time-sensitive production environment;
  • Ability to work independently to troubleshoot technical and process related issues;
  • Possesses knowledge of sports and its place in popular culture.

Additional Requirements:

  • Portfolio demonstrating motion reel and design work;
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in a creative and production environment;
  • Highly skilled in After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator and comfortable with Keynote & Sketch;
  • Experience in making expressions in After Effects;
  • Experience working with 3D design tools / Cinema 4D is a plus;
  • Knowledge of scripting is a plus;
  • Experience working with live production teams;

Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Animation, Motion Graphics, Graphic Design or similar.

  • The hourly compensation range for this position in the selected city is $50-$65 hourly. Compensation may vary depending on a number of factors, including but not limited to the individual experience, expertise, location, and education.

Ability to accurately discern and differentiate between a wide range of colors. A keen eye for detail and the capability to interpret color variations correctly are essential.

Utilization of technology:

Proficiency with various computer software and tools, including Adobe Creative Suite, Keynote, and project management platforms (e.g., Wrike), is indispensable. This entails precise manual dexterity and adept eye-hand coordination.

Multi-tasking:

The role demands adept management of multiple projects concurrently, necessitating the ability to prioritize effectively and seamlessly transition between tasks while upholding meticulous attention to detail.
