Our current hybrid approach requires staff to work onsite a minimum of two days each week, every Tuesday and one other day, to be determined by their business unit. Hybrid staff are also welcome to come in additional days each week or may be asked to come in on other days by their manager.
DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW
GBH Enterprises manages GBH’s business activities for the rights GBH retains, including the licensing of GBH’s trademarks and intellectual property for tie-in books, series-branded merchandise, and commercial television and film projects. GBH Enterprises staff works closely with content producing units, brand stakeholders and administrative departments across the Foundation on executing licensing strategies for GBH’s owned IP that will deliver innovative solutions to generate revenue and increase audience engagement, brand awareness, and impact.

JOB OVERVIEW
  • Reporting to the Director of Licensing and Business Development and under the supervision and direction of the Licensing and Business Development Specialist, the Licensing Assistant will support activities related to the department’s merchandising and media rights licensing business, new business initiatives and special projects.
  • Assist the Licensing and Business Development Specialist with the product approval process
  • Assist the Licensing and Business Development Specialist with the management, operation, and promotion of GBH’s online branded stores
  • Gather, organize, and deliver brand assets
  • Update brand collateral as needed
  • Regularly communicate brand and licensing updates to business partners and production units
  • Perform file and database management
  • Conduct research on merchandising and media and entertainment industries
  • Research, administrative tasks, and other duties as assigned

SKILL SET
  • One year of administrative, assistant, or relevant experience.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Google applications (i.e., Google Drive), Google Analytics
  • Strong research and organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and communication skills
  • Experience in merchandising & licensing, media & entertainment, and e-commerce industries
  • Design/photo editing skills (Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator)

EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
