Role Summary:
The Sr. Analyst Commercial Planning will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day commercial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and analysis for the SDS business, including segment performance, studio partner / partner label performance, category performance and trend reporting. This individual will work with the Finance, Retail Planning, Sales, and Trade Marketing teams on budgeting, reporting, and forecasting.



Essential Responsibilities:
  • Assist with monthly sales, returns, and spend reporting for SDS partner studios, and resulting updated forecast outlook.
  • Participate in quarterly analysis of category performance data, reporting on studio shares, segment trends, and category rate of change.
  • Assist with development of databases capturing historical release and promotion performance.
  • Assist in preparation of commercial budget, forecast, and pacing outlooks for SDS.
  • Coordinate with SDS Finance for monthly product segment alignment.
  • Participate in monthly dialogue with SDS Retail Planning field teams for non-TNR forecast updates / inputs, and monthly pacing.
  • Update monthly Trade Spend Reporting across US/Canada businesses.
  • Assist with any special projects and support cross-functional business initiatives.
  • Maintain a strong working relationship with Warner Media and Universal Pictures Home Entertainment, ensuring transparent commercial reporting and outlook.
  • Operate as power-user of Marvin, Tableau, CRMI, and any future SDS data warehouse reporting resources.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, not required
  • 2+ years of experience in CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) or financial planning or forecasting
  • Exceptional analytical, decision making, and problem solving skills
  • Experience in analytics and data visualization (SQL, SAS, Excel, Tableau, etc.), and an understanding of statistics and predictive analysis
  • Experience maintaining various forecasting and reporting models
  • Experience with mass retail (e.g., Walmart, Target, Best Buy, Amazon)
  • Ability to validate and interpret large data sets
  • Ability to maintenance of tools and reporting based on business needs
  • Experience collaborating across multiple internal and external functional groups
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with internal teams including all stakeholders
  • Ability to manage at both a strategic and operational level
  • Must have strong attention to detail
  • Must be able to handle multiple concurrent tasks and shifting priorities
