GENERAL FUNCTION
The Vice President of Marketing is responsible for leading the marketing efforts for the Retail Licensed Brands organization, currently consisting of Target Optical and Pearle Vision brands, in pursuit of short-term and long-term financial plans. This role will be responsible for the strategic conceptualization and to develop, prioritize, and lead the execution of marketing strategies to support optical retail and franchise businesses.
This key leader must influence stakeholders across a highly matrixed organization. They must possess professional maturity and high emotional intelligence to act as the visible spokesperson for the brands, building credibility and trust. Acts in accordance with the company vision, mission, and core values.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketing focus areas
  • Responsible for the development and execution of a broad range of marketing activities to support the strategic direction and positioning of the brands.
  • Develop and implement initiatives that increase traffic, conversion rate, average transaction value, and sales across the multiple channels of business.
  • Leads brand communications to ensure associates, business partners, and outside parties develop accurate, positive attitudes about the brands.
  • Communicates marketing priorities and progress to functional leaders, to ensure consistency with team and brand goals. Communicates other major corporate projects/priorities, in other functions, back to Marketing Department, as appropriate.
  • Influence communication and strategy between ecommerce and retail to build effective consumer communication campaigns and to increase conversions, new customer acquisition, and retention.
  • Create efficient systems to communicate key product and brand messages at the right time, with the right frequency, to the North America market
  • Accountable in managing the overall marketing budget and liable for all marketing investments
Strategy, analytics and insights
  • Thinks strategically and analytically about the business. Identifies and achieves immediate and long-term marketing priorities, including the testing of new ideas.
  • Conduct analysis of the competitive market, consumer trends, and sales performance to identify potential opportunities.
  • Uses research to define customer wants and needs and provides guidance to other functions in the delivery of the ideal customer experience.
External stakeholders
  • Develop a close partnership with Target Corporation marketing leadership to jointly develop marketing strategies / plans for Target Optical
  • Develop and execute effective marketing strategies / plans with demonstrable ROI for Pearle Vision to drive qualified traffic to its franchisee operators
  • Leverage the capabilities of external agency partners to deliver the above
Internal stakeholders
  • Work with key Centers of Excellence in global and local HQ – Creative production hub in global HQ (Milan), Media, PR, CRM, VM, SEO and Digital / e-commerce, Eyecare marketing teams
  • Brand communication teams

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • 15+ years professional experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Merchandising or related field
  • Ability to combine strategic vision with everyday tactical detail and a strong urge for action
  • Knowledgeable and experienced in all phases of marketing, techniques and processes
  • Ability to work and influence a variety of groups, internal and external
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, empower others, and exemplify core behavioral values

Pay Range: 278,037.20 - 404,402.40

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, you may also be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan, which complements a first-class total rewards package. Benefits may include health care, retirement savings, paid time off/vacation, and various employee discounts.
