The Fire TV team is seeking a Product Marketing manager to lead and execute go to market (GTM) and product marketing for key parts of our home entertainment business including our smart TV’s and sound bars. In this role you will have a high degree of ownership as you launch new products and scale our growth opportunities for Fire TV in the home entertainment space; including demand, distribution, and monetization. You’ll work closely with Product, GTM, Finance, Demand Gen, Demand Planning, Operations, Online Experience, Customer Service, and Public Relations, and more. You will be expected to think and act both strategically and tactically: from the creation of our sales and marketing strategy to the implementation. You will be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment – all while ensuring we’re optimizing for the ideal customer experience and balancing business financials.

Key job responsibilities

Specific responsibilities include:
  • Lead go to market launch planning and in-market innovations for key parts of our Fire TV business (e.g. it may be getting to lead a new product innovation program end to end and/or leading an in-market initiative for our North America regions)
  • Act as mini-CEOs of the products they will be leading, leveraging analytical insights to make strategic decisions that ensure long-term success
  • Analyze and leverage industry, data, and customer trends and research to inform product launch and in-market innovations and make informed recommendations to senior leaders
  • Share best practices with global stakeholders to influence in-country sales teams
  • Demonstrate effective interpersonal and influencing skills to build relationships with cross functional teams to execute business strategy
  • Support annual operating planning, 3-year strategic planning calendars, including budget management and performance reporting
  • Ideate, develop, and execute unique marketing initiatives that drive the Amazon flywheel

About the team
This role sits within the global marketing & business (GMB) team of Fire TV, specifically in the product marketing and go to market team (PMM & GTM). The role of this team is to set the product marketing strategy for all Fire TV innovations. We drive decisions related to product, price, positioning, and placement and serve as the product marketing subject matter experts for our portfolio. The team works closely with our product management, Device Brand Studio, Online Experience, Offline, Demand planning, Finance, and Customer Service teams. The team leads the global strategy and executes its plans for North America (US, Canada, Mexico) while serving as a hub for our other country sales & marketing leads to localize and execute in their respective marketplaces. Together with these teams, we launch new Fire TV innovations.

  • Experience with customer segmentation, profiling, and targeting
  • Master's degree in management, business administration, economics, engineering, marketing
  • Experience with A/B Testing or Multi-Variate Testing or both
  • Knowledge of analytics tools and web traffic reporting

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $128,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $212,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
