We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance & Business Analytics Senior Manager to join our team. In this key role, you will be responsible for driving data-informed decision-making for our FP&A team and supporting Centers of Excellence (COEs). The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in business analytics, data harnessing, and reporting within the entertainment industry. You will oversee data preparation, develop executive dashboards, generate weekly insights, and collaborate on predictive forecasting. Additionally, you will support both Power BI and internal tools to deliver insights and work closely with financial systems such as Oracle and Planful. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Business Analytics & Decision-Making Support
    • Lead the development of data-driven insights to support the FP&A team and COEs (Centers of Excellence), covering areas such as production payroll, residuals, incentives, casting, and more.
    • Manage data collection, cleansing, and preparation processes, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all analytics initiatives.
    • Support internal custom-built analytics tools to enhance business intelligence capabilities.
    • Develop and manage comprehensive executive dashboards, delivering weekly insights to senior leadership.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and deliver actionable data to drive strategic decisions.
  • Forecasting & Financial Modeling
    • Build predictive forecasting models utilizing historical data trends and cutting-edge analytics tools.
    • Provide financial forecasting support across multiple functions, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
    • Lead the development and enhancement of forecasting techniques to improve accuracy and forecasting efficiency.
    • Deliver comprehensive financial analyses to aid in decision-making processes at the senior leadership level.
  • Data Analytics & Tools Management
    • Utilize Power BI to create dynamic and interactive dashboards for leadership and executive reporting.
    • Work with financial tools such as Oracle and Planful to manage data integration, reporting, and automation processes.
    • Use Python for advanced data manipulation and the creation of predictive analytics models.
    • Partner with IT and data teams to optimize the usage of financial data and systems across the organization.
  • Leadership Reporting & Insights
    • Generate weekly and monthly financial insights for senior leadership, helping to drive informed business decisions.
    • Create and manage reporting processes that cater to the needs of executives, providing concise and actionable data.
    • Deliver clear and data-backed presentations to senior executives, guiding decision-making with real-time analytics.

JOB REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED

  • A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, or a related field is required; an advanced degree (MBA) or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in financial planning & analysis (FP&A) with a focus on data analytics, business intelligence, and predictive modeling.
  • Proven experience working in the entertainment or media industry is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Oracle, Planful, Power BI, and Python is required.
  • Strong understanding of data analytics, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting with experience in predictive models and executive dashboarding.
  • Experience managing complex datasets, including data cleansing and data transformation for financial reporting.
  • Ability to utilize Power BI for executive dashboards and reporting, with advanced proficiency in Python for data analysis and automation.
  • Strong technical acumen and ability to integrate data from various sources, including Oracle, Planful, and custom-built financial tools.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills, with a demonstrated ability to deliver insights in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly and concisely to senior leadership and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments, with a focus on driving business results.
  • A proactive, “whatever it takes” attitude to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Prior experience in the entertainment industry, particularly with production-related financials, is a plus.

The salary range for this position is $150,000 to $160,000 and will be commensurate with experience related to the position.
