The Jim Henson Company has remained an established leader in family entertainment for over 65 years and is recognized as an innovator in puppetry, animatronics, and digital animation. The Company’s most recent credits include the Oscar®-winning Guillermo Del Toro’s Pinocchio for Netflix, the Emmy®-winning Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock for Apple TV+, and the feature film The Portable Door for MGM+. The Company is currently in post-production on a new reimagining of Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day starring Eva Longoria and Cheech Marin for Disney+. Other television credits include SlumberkinsHarriet the Spy and Fraggle Rock: Rock On, all for Apple TV+, Word Party for Netflix, Earth to Ned for Disney+, and the Emmy-winning Netflix Original series The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. The Marketing department is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated intern who is eager to learn best practices in Marketing and PR. You will shadow and support the Marketing team throughout the internship. You will see how our department functions within The Jim Henson Company from behind the scenes and be an integral part of our team.

  • Candidates must be available a minimum of 20 hours per week (days and hours to be determined). 
  • Applications from students majoring in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, English, or other suitable line of study are encouraged to apply.



What you will do:

  • Identify trends and assist in generating ideas and campaigns.
  • Work with the team to execute PR, promotional and marketing initiatives.
  • Support marketing campaigns and special initiatives.
  • Work closely with members of a variety of company teams, including legal, sales, creative affairs, and executive as well as outside PR and social media agencies.
  • Assist with general office support, telephones, and filing.
  • A variety of projects using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint


 

College-Credit

  • This internship is an unpaid position open to all current students who will receive school credit for the internship.
  • All candidates must get prior approval from their school/academic advisor confirming that they will receive school credit for the internship.
  • School credit confirmation must be presented to JHC prior to beginning an internship.
