About the Role & Program  

Walt Disney Imagineering is the creative force that imagines, designs and brings to life all Disney theme parks, resorts, attractions and cruise ships worldwide. Working across a spectrum of teams that range from creative and conceptual to scientific and technical, we blend an innovative mixture of storytelling, art, science and technology to create immersive experiences, memorable destinations, and innovative entertainment for families around the globe!  

We are seeking a Business Planning & Strategy Intern to lead the day-to-day operations of the Show Systems Studio.  

What You Will Do  

  • Act as key team member of project team to deliver strategic plans in line with specified quality standard within established budgets and timeframes 

  • Schedule and set up conference calls, teleconferences and web-based meetings 

  • Monitor meetings and other communications and provide updates as necessary to ensure proper integration and to resolve issues in a timely manner 

  • Prepare presentations that represent the financial goals and strategies of the Studio 

  • Support the development of annual operating, financial, and resource plans (AOP, FYP, monthly forecasts, etc.) 

  • Produce ongoing financial, risk, and development reports to status the health and progress of each project towards its goals in partnership with Finance and key WDI partners. 

Required Qualifications & Skills  

  • Experience working in a cross functional organization, preferably an organization with a technical focus 

  • Ability to handle & prioritize multiple tasks in a highly dynamic production environment 

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with demonstrated strong negotiating and influencing abilities 

  • Highly organized with keen attention to detail and follow-through skills 

Preferred Qualifications  

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Suite, SAP, Tableau, Power BI, SQL 

  • Familiarity & enthusiasm with the themed entertainment space 

  • Interest in Walt Disney Imagineering as an organization 

  • Previous experience in project management, strategy consulting or related areas 

Education  

  • Currently enrolled as a Junior or higher or graduated within 6 months from an accredited college/university, earning BA or BS in business, finance, economics, or data sciences or in a related field 
  • MBA strongly preferred  

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information 

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements: 

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship. 

  • Be at least 18 years of age 

  • Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program. 

  • Possess unrestricted work authorization 

  • Have full availability 24/7 for duration of internship 

  • FL Interns: We provide limited housing opportunities for Florida Based Professional Interns through American Campus Communities 

  • Have reliable transportation to/from work 

Additional Information 

  • This internship is located in Orlando, FL 

  • The approximate dates of this internship are January 2025 through June 2025
