Job Summary:

The Senior Manager, International Strategy will play a critical role in shaping the long-term strategic vision for how the Disney Entertainment Television (DET) Marketing Group approaches global markets and brings content to audiences abroad. This role requires specialized expertise to ideate, implement, and iterate new processes that drive deeper collaboration with partners in EMEA, LATAM, APAC, and Canada. The Senior Manager will support the US general entertainment content globally, ensuring greater engagement with content on Disney+ worldwide. Additionally, this role will collaborate with international regions, International TV Strategy, and Hulu Marketing and Publicity teams to prioritize Local Originals content for Hulu. The individual will work closely with executives throughout DET and Disney+, acting as a key contact for international stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Process Development and Improvement: Create and iterate new processes to effectively share and align on priorities and title strategies, influencing global marketing support. Identify gaps in existing processes and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Collaboration with Regions: Partner closely with teams in EMEA, LATAM, APAC, and Canada to understand top drivers of regional engagement and acquisition and local marketing strategies to inform local prioritization of US content.

  • Communication and Alignment: Work with US-based teams across all DET brands (e.g., ABC, FX, Hulu) to ensure priorities and strategies are communicated clearly and consistently.

  • Local Originals Prioritization: Collaborate with Hulu Marketing and Publicity and International TV Strategy to identify and prioritize Local Originals titles for Hulu support.

  • Insights and Learnings: Identify opportunities to share insights, commission analyses, and share actionable learnings with relevant stakeholders to inform strategic decisions.

  • Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate, schedule, and lead regular and ad hoc touch bases with US and international stakeholders to address emerging issues and opportunities.

  • Global marketing summits: Co-program annual global marketing summit with Disney+.

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of progressive work experience in a dynamic, fast-paced organization; minimum of 4 years in media and entertainment, strategy, strategic planning, or consulting.

  • Hands-on, team player capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a highly interactive environment.

  • Ability to thrive under pressure, navigate ambiguity and complexity, and manage competing priorities with minimal direction.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interface and build relationships with diverse stakeholders at all levels of the organization and from different regions.

  • Deep knowledge of content marketing with a focus on best practices driving engagement and acquisition.

Preferred Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or Marketing; MBA preferred.


The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $151,000 to $202,500 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
