JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX Sports Media Group (FSMG) has a great opportunity for a Financial Analyst. The Financial Analyst is primarily responsible for the fixed assets accounting process, reconciliation of large bank accounts and assisting with reporting. The Financial Analyst will handle a large volume of tasks regarding these areas within tight timelines. The candidate must work closely with business units to complete assigned tasks.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintains fixed asset module to record additions, disposals, and depreciation
• Maintains lease module to record expenses monthly
• Maintains Expense Authorizations
• Helps maintain reports in OfficeConnect/Adaptive
• Reconciles the fixed asset module to the general ledger monthly
• Reconciles main depository and disbursement bank accounts monthly
• Works with various departments to identify reconciling items and clear them on a timely basis
• Book necessary bank transactions to clear reconciling items
• Assists with providing support for internal audit and external audit requests and schedules
• Assist/Act as backup for other staff in the accounting department, as needed
• Ad-hoc projects on an as-needed basis

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• Bachelor's degree with emphasis in Accounting
• Relevant general accounting experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the aptitude to communicate with all levels of management
• Self-starter, accountable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), particularly Excel
• Perform job functions with accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and prioritize
• Able to work independently and in teams
• Tech savvy

NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER

• Knowledge of Workday ERP system
• Knowledge of Adaptive/OfficeConnect
• CPA or CPA candidate
• Sports/Entertainment industry experience

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $29.25-34.62 per hour for California. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
