Job Description

Mark Woollen & Associates is looking to add an Art Director to lead our award-winning, in-house graphics team. We are looking for a passionate, driven designer to collaborate with our creative teams on design concepts and develop them into each campaign. Candidates should be able to demonstrate strong design skills focused primarily on typography and graphic layout, work well with others, and thrive in a deadline-driven environment. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a visual concept that aligns with the tone and style of the original work
  • Oversee the creation of graphics, titles, and motion graphics that enhance the storytelling and visual appeal
  • Lead a team of designers ensuring cohesive and high-quality output
  • Provide guidance, constructive feedback, and mentorship for junior designers 
  • Review and refine visual elements to ensure they meet the desired standards and align with the overall vision
  • Ensure that all visual materials are produced to the correct technical specifications for various platforms
  • Manage visual production budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality


Qualifications:

  • 7-10 years of experience in designing main titles for feature films and series within an agency setting
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of designers
  • Skilled in providing constructive feedback and guidance to junior team members.
  • Expert-level proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud and Cinema 4D; working knowledge of Unreal Engine and Maya is a plus!
  • Up-to-date with industry trends, techniques, and emerging technologies
  • Strong familiarity with the finishing process and various video/audio specifications is highly encouraged
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and convey information concisely and accurately
  • Must submit a portfolio with recent work samples

Additional Information:

  • Hours: 10a-7p with possible OT
  • Location: Hybrid, In-office 1x a week


Compensation: 

  • $125K - $200K/year
