Job Summary/Description:

This Associate Content Producer position is designed to coach and train you toward a newscast producer position. You will be editing and writing for both broadcast and digital platforms. This position gets you in the door and fast-tracked towards success in this business.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Develop, write, edit, and organize content for newscasts on-air and on our digital platforms
• Work closely with producers and news managers to determine content needs
• Must be a strong writer with meticulous attention to detail in both grammar and accuracy
• Must have strong communication skills
• Must have good work ethic, strong people skills, ability to be a team player and maintain a professional attitude

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Must have or working towards a degree in journalism or communications
• Strong writing and organizational skills
• Must know basic computer skills
• Must be able to work quickly and multi-task under deadline pressure and breaking news
• Video editing experience preferred
