The Oklahoma City Thunder is seeking a sales professional with experience in developing long-term client relationships. As a Corporate Partnership Sales representative, youll work with various departments to combine our assets including logo rights, television, radio, in-arena signage, digital and social media, tickets, and suites into tailored marketing platforms that meet partner needs and support sustained revenue growth. In this role you will:
- Deliver annual sales results and successfully build and maintain a portfolio of clients
- Develop new and manage existing key corporate partner relationships
- Research and prospect for new business leads, using creativity to envision and initiate new business-to-business connections
- Work collaboratively within the partnership sales, activation, strategy, and cross-functional teams to meet departmental goals
- Develop and implement in-market and retail promotions to add new value for clients
- Deliver exceptional client service to foster strong relationships and renew partnerships
- Build and nurture connections within the community by actively participating in events
- Market and sell fully-integrated corporate partnership programs to local, regional, national and global businesses
- Coordinate and deliver sales presentations with confidence
- Perform other duties as assigned
What youll bring to the role:
- 4-5 years of relevant work experience
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications primarily Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- A flexible and reliable approach, prioritizing the best interests of the department and organization
- Ability to craft and maintain positive relationships
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, confident in group presentations
- Familiarity with partnership activation, sponsorship sales, and sports/entertainment marketing practices
- Experience in market research and analysis of both quantitative and qualitative data
- A curious and creative mindset, with a talent for innovation and persuasive communication
Additional details:
This is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Manager, Corporate Partnership Sales. The primary work location is the Thunder's corporate office located in downtown, Oklahoma City. A valid drivers license, insurance, and clean driving record are required as some local travel may be necessary. The role also requires the ability to lift and carry boxes up to 50 pounds and work in-arena, which includes being in the presence of loud music, crowd noise, and flashing or strobe lighting.
