About the Role:
The San Francisco Giants are seeking a highly motivated, experienced, dynamic Director, Partnership Activation, who will lead a team responsible for delivering best-in-class sponsorship fulfillment and customer service for all Giants corporate sponsors.

  • Lead and support a team of exceptional Account Managers, providing guidance, mentorship, education, inspiration and support to ensure the successful planning of account management, relationship management and execution of partnerships marketing campaigns.
  • Develop opportunities to present and pursue incremental Giants opportunities with key Giants sponsors.
  • Work in close collaboration with numerous functional/operational areas throughout the organization to drive seamless integration/execution, and deliver a mutually-benefiting experience for our clients which in turn drives long term relationships.
  • Develop and expand non-traditional business development programs. Examples include: Giants Vacations, Giants Fantasy Camp and Giants Youth Camp programs. New business development opportunities might include developing a Giants Wine Club, developing a Giants fan or youth club, expanding Giants subscriptions beyond promotional items and print publications
  • Set and then exceed sponsorship services department performance and client satisfaction objectives
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in leading teams, business development, partnerships, or related roles - preferably within the sports, entertainment, or media industries. Demonstrated success in developing and managing a high quantity of Partners in multi-year deals including a number of seven-figure multi-year agreements.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills. Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders. Excellent analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills to work effectively and efficiently with all departments throughout the organization to execute all partner assets
  • Will be involved with Operational Maintenance & Giants Cap Ex Projects to provide input and insights of Partner goals and objectives. Will require dedicated time working with various vendors, external agencies, contractors, etc. to look after Partnership needs and opportunities.
  • Interact closely and effectively with the Partnership Sales Team.
  • Experienced and inspiring leader who has successfully managed teams previously.
  • Understanding of the sports industry, domestic & international market trends, sponsorship, and partnership dynamics. Strong quantitative skills with a deep understanding of how to leverage data and insights during the sales process.
  • Results-driven, proactive, and innovative. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and being very detail oriented is a must.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sports Management, or a related field. An advanced degree (e.g., MBA) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Slack and CRM software (Salesforce, Tableau). Familiarity with digital marketing tools and analytics platforms (Scarborough Sports Marketing & Nielsen Repucom) is a plus.

At the San Francisco Giants, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the base salary for this position to be in the range of $100,000 to $120,000 plus Incentive awards, and will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience and other factors the San Francisco Giants consider relevant to the hiring decision Additionally
