Your New Role…

As a Key Account Manager (KAM) within Warner Bros. Discovery’s Sales Department, you will play a key role in driving the success of our advertising and sponsorship portfolio across all platforms. You will be responsible for managing and expanding a significant portfolio of existing clients while proactively identifying and cultivating new business opportunities.

To excel in this role, you should have an established network within media agencies and clients, enabling you to operate both independently and collaboratively. You will frequently engage with key decision-makers, such as marketing directors and executives from advertising and media agencies. Your ability to understand clients' business challenges, combined with your advisory skills, will be crucial in delivering value-driven solutions in a fast-paced, ever-evolving industry.

This position demands a high level of activity, with much of your time spent building relationships with clients and agencies. You will be responsible for meeting your own budget and KPIs, and you are expected to contribute ideas and initiatives to support the Sales Manager/Director in developing the sales team further.

Your Role Accountabilities…

  • Portfolio Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for some of WBD's most important clients, media agencies, and advertising agencies. Maintain and develop long-term relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Business Development: Stay ahead of industry trends and income opportunities. Identify and seize opportunities to grow revenue within complex customer structures.
  • Support & Leadership: Act as a key support to the Sales Director, embodying professionalism and serving as a role model both internally and externally. Contribute to the continuous development of the sales team.
  • Analytical Excellence: Leverage analytical tools such as Advantege, Power BI, and other relevant systems to drive informed decision-making. Develop customer and industry-specific analyses to support sales strategies.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues across WBD's departments, including Digital, Brandcare, Sponsorship, Research, and Traffic, to ensure a unified approach to client management.
  • Client Engagement: Participate in evening and weekend events with clients, representing WBD and fostering stronger business relationships.

Qualifications & Experience…

  • Education: Higher education degree in Economics, Business Administration, or Marketing or extensive relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • Experience: At least 3-4 years of successful sales experience within the media industry, particularly in the B2B segment.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong numerical and analytical abilities, with an understanding of macro and microeconomic trends and their impact on the business.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Norwegian and English. Strong interpersonal skills are essential for effective client and internal collaboration.
  • Personal Attributes: A structured, curious, and highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude. Initiative and active contribution to internal projects are highly valued.
