The Comedy Central social team is looking for an Associate Producer to support development and execution of content calendars including writing copy and daily publishing across Comedy Central’s social media platforms. They will assist in strategic ideation, creative execution, and asset production/distribution. They will support social initiatives including linear and streaming marketing, archival content posting, and regular cross-brand collaboration with other social handles. The ideal candidate will be a skilled copywriter with a strong sense of project management and organizational skills.


This is a fixed-term project-based role. This position is hybrid but remote applicants will be considered.


Primary responsibilities include:

  • Build and maintain content calendar for Comedy Central brand and franchise accounts, including Instagram, TikTok, X/Twitter, Facebook, and others
  • Partner with managers/producers of Comedy Central franchise accounts including The Daily Show, Comedy Central Stand-Up, South Park, and more to build and optimize brand content calendar
  • Create new content (ranging from social-first videos to gifs to trending social creative) as needed
  • Write copy, post content and facilitate collabs and cross-posts on Comedy Central brand accounts
  • Help uphold quality standards through reviewing visual assets and maintaining brand tone of voice
  • Work closely with Audience Development team to facilitate content for YouTube channel and shorts
  • Assist in monitoring mentions, identifying social trends, and ideating content that will support key social KPIs
  • Support ad hoc requests including cross-company support initiatives, Integrated Marketing campaigns, movies, stunts, and new show launches

 

Required qualifications:

  • 2+ years working in social media, preferably for a television, entertainment or media company
  • Strong written communication and copy writing skills, with a demonstrated understanding of following defined voice and tone, especially for social platforms
  • Extremely detail-oriented and excellent written/verbal communication
  • Strong working knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, X/Twitter, Facebook, and platform trends
  • Working knowledge of digital technologies such as Adobe Premiere, Adobe Photoshop, Google Drive, Slack and more
