Walt Disney Imagineering Asia Limited is the master planning, creative development, engineering, production, project management, and research and development arm of The Walt Disney Company. Its accomplished corps of Imagineers manage the creation - from concept initiation through installation - of all Disney Resorts, theme parks and attractions, real estate developments, regional entertainment venues, and new media projects.
This position is accountable for fiscal and schedule performance for medium projects or equivalent portion of a large project. Report to Director-Project Management.
Key Responsibilities:
Under general supervision, a Project Manager will perform the following duties:
- Lead or manage development of project deliverables
- Lead the development of the scope, schedule, and budget
- Manage implementation of a change management program, develop change mitigations, and determine validity and disposition of project changes
- Responsible for development and update of the project risk register including completeness, impact assessment, mitigation strategies, and contingency requirements
- Actively manage project financial and schedule risks
- Develop the project delivery strategy
- Partner with Design team and AP/RSE to establish BD/FSD/FEHD Licensing approach and strategies
- Prepare or approve contract documents for bid packages
- Manage contractor compliance with terms and conditions
- Ensure project documentation and deliverables are tracked and completed with requisite quality
- Negotiate Contract awards and drive Contracts close-outs
- Contribute knowledge to team including training and lessons learned
- Apply lessons learned and best practices
- Provide direction and set priorities for the project team
- Responsible for directional leadership of the entire project team across all studios with respect to scope, schedule, budget, quality and execution of the agreed creative vision
- Partner with Creative Leaders and Producers, collaborate with HKDL Operations teams
- Demonstrate excellent Leadership and can effective lead interns, associates, assistants, and outside consultants as needed
- Contribute knowledge to team and PM community through training and sharing lessons learned.
- Maintain open and transparent communication with senior leadership and project team members to foster trust, engagement, and efficiency.
- Maintain frequent communication, reporting, and interactions with project team, vendors, consultants, and other WDI partners through conversation, presentations, and written correspondences
- Demonstrate strong meeting facilitation, presentation, and collaboration skills to keep all members of project team aligned and to develop integrated and fully supported project strategies
- Contribute in project leadership meetings and serve as a trusted source of information and drive the team to provide reliable analysis
- Effectively summarize communications for executive management
Desired Qualifications:
- 4 year undergraduate degree, preferably in a technical field such as engineering, architecture, construction management, or equivalent work experience in project management. Master degree preferred.
- Discipline related professional certification or industry relevant continuing education desirable
- Ability to think strategically and tactically about complex issues and problem-solve to resolution
- Collaboration with a drive for decision making
- Demonstrated excellent leadership qualities, interpersonal skills and teamwork/partnering ability
- Ability to perform well in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment
- Strong presentation skills and confidence when speaking to small or large groups
- Ability to supervise staff, consultants, and vendors including setting goals, prioritizing tasks, coordinating work, and managing time and have delegation skills.

- Minimum 8 years relevant experience
- Minimum 3 year supervisory experience
- Experience with hiring and managing outside consultants, vendors and contractors
- Knowledge of the HR policies and basic HR management
- Themed entertainment experience preferred
- Bilingual ability is essential
