Job Summary:

The Manager, Project Management will lead a team of project managers who oversee the timely delivery of videos, photography, graphics and other content. The team’s goal is to find creative ways to build brand trust and loyalty within internal and external audiences, as well as achieve the greatest reach and shareability through compelling visual storytelling.

The ideal candidate thrives in an agile and collaborative environment, inspires and motivates team members and can lead in the development of their career growth, expertly navigates competing priorities and deadlines and has a deep passion for the Disney brand. Experience with social media and project management is required for this role. Additionally, the Manager, Project Management will oversee the digital asset management system where final assets live on for discoverability.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate project managers, ensuring clear communication and alignment with business goals.
  • Assign tasks, set priorities, and monitor team performance to ensure project milestones are achieved.
  • Defines project scope and deliverables; driving projects to completion in partnership with account managers, creative teams and project managers/associate managers.
  • Build detailed project plans, including schedules, resource allocation and occasional budgets.
  • Develop and implement project management strategies, establishing best practices and ensuring consistent standards are maintained across project, creative and account teams.
  • Consistently review and refine project management processes, identifying and onboarding new approaches and tools that allow teams to focus on creativity and less on business tasks.
  • Proactively monitor and report on creative project status and staffing grid with account managers and creative leadership.
  • Oversee production briefs/schedules and ensure creative teams have all production needs met.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Oversee the ongoing usage and governance of a Digital Asset Management System ensuring compliance of usage.
  • Ensure account management team is able to successfully see and interact with creative project status from concept to completion.
  • Play active role in the delivery and approval of creative concepts and content.
  • Build and lead project team accountabilities, assigning tasks and responsibilities.
  • Assists on-site with production support as needed.
  • Demonstrates innovation, creativity, and thoughtful integration through all work. 
  • Contributes to building a team that is nimble, creative, optimistic, and disruptive.
  • Assists broader creative services team with project management needs as assigned.

What We’re Looking For (Basic Qualifications):

  • At least 5 years of project management experience
  • Experience managing a team of individuals and building their skillsets.
  • Understanding of basic video/film production terminology and process
  • Experience in social media and/or related digital marketing.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Adaptability and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive attitude with a solutions-oriented approach to collaboration.
  • A passion for social media and current trends.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a group as well as independently with little supervision.
  • An affinity for the Disney Brand.
  • Ability to manage time efficiently and work within a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Proactive mindset.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.
  • Willingness to try new things and gain new skills.

What Would Be a Nice to Have (Preferred Qualifications):

  • PMP Certification
  • Prior work experience with creative project management (design, photo, video, social)
  • Experience with project management software (Monday.com, Workfront, JIRA, etc.)
  • Broad understanding of the role of social media in society today and its application to business.
  • Ability to navigate a complex organization.
  • A proactive self-starting approach and eager to learn.
  • Experience with using and/or creating content for various social media platforms including, but not limited to, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Snapchat and TikTok
  • Knowledge and understanding of social media KPIs
  • Work experience in a creative agency a plus.
