The Job:
The role of the Digital Designer within Night Market is to execute concepts that can be developed into multi-format creative deliverables across multiple brands and campaigns. First and foremost, this person will collaborate with the Art Directors and or Creative Director. This person will contribute to design and interface projects. Critical to this role is the ability to design mockups and composites that bring ideas to life, in addition to the general hard skills necessary to do design work on behalf of current clients. To ensure that ideas are fully developed, and visual aesthetics are of the highest quality, the Digital Designer will work in concert with the Art Director and or Creative Director.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
80% - Content Production:
  • Create visually engaging, innovative, and functional designs for a variety of channels including, but not limited to social, web, experiential, and events (in-store, on-site)
  • Update and/or prep existing Photoshop files for clients and export graphics for use on web, print, or in video
  • Produce work that aligns with designated style guides for clients and internal teams
  • Build or refine PowerPoint decks, working off agency and brand templates
  • Keep working files organized and follow best practices for file prepping/delivery
20% - Idea Generation & Teamwork:
  • Attend weekly creative meetings and brainstorms
  • Take design direction from Creative Director
  • Contribute new ideas for design treatments, planning, and strategy with the team
  • Expert in design trends and editorial layout
  • Passion for photography and strong eye for composition
  • Keep up with news, technology, and content in media landscape
  • Professional and collaborative communication style across teams
Knowledge and Skills Required
  • 3+ years' experience as digital designer in an agency environment or design agency
  • High interest in typography, design, animation and contemporary culture
  • Must have a solid understanding and desire to keep up to date with innovation, industry, and design trends
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey ideas and direction
  • A wide understanding of design and execution
  • Confidence in presenting to colleagues
  • Knowledgeable across all social platforms while expanding skills to fit an ever-changing landscape
  • Proficient in the Adobe suite focusing on Photoshop, XD and After Effects/ Premier
Certificates, Licenses and Registrations
  • There are no requirements for certificates, licenses and registrations.
Physical Activity and Work Environment
  • Position may involve light physical activity pertaining to photo and video production. This includes lifting tripods, gear, props or assistant producing.
Salary Range: $1,538.46 to $1,826.92 a week. A successful applicant’s actual weekly or hourly rate may vary based upon, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure/certifications, and equity.
