As a Strategic Sourcing intern, you will have the outstanding opportunity to assist with a variety of projects within our Strategic Sourcing department.

What You Will Do

Responsibilities :

  • Perform data analysis to find opportunities for cost reduction and value creation (improved quality, cost, service and compliance)

  • Perform liaison work between Strategic Sourcing and key clients, ensuring efficient supply chain methods

  • Provide support for sourcing projects, including data analysis and supplier interface

  • Facilitate supplier presentations

  • Develop and implement eRFIs/eRFQs/eRFPs/eAuctions

  • Participate in supplier negotiations

  • Perform external market assessment and opportunity analysis

  • Develop and handle partner and supplier relationships and contract implementations

  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies in alignment with business initiatives and priorities.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills

  • Ability to take ownership and drive projects to completion with minimal supervision

  • Professional demeanor, focused, articulate and well organized

  • Interns in this department may assist with any of the following teams: Design and Construction, Facility & Operations Services, Fixtures, Furnishing & Equipment, Food and Beverage, Cruise Line, Marketing & Graphics, Professional Services, Walt Disney Imagineering and Supplier Diversity.

Education

Currently enrolled as a Junior, Senior or Graduate student at an accredited college/university, earning a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Logistics, Economics, Finance or related field.

Preferred Education

  • Currently pursuing, or recently graduated with, an MBA

  • Cumulative overall GPA of 3.0 or higher (no rounding)

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.

  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization

Location of position: This position has opportunities in Lake Buena Vista, FL

Program Length: The approximate dates of this internship are January 2025 to June 2025. This is a full-time position, and interns must be fully available for the duration fo the internship.

Candidate must be available to work full time hours (approximately 40 hours per week) for the duration of the internship
