About the Role & Program 
The Entertainment Analytics team uses technical and analytical expertise to measure performance and drive business results to optimize Entertainment’s impact on the Guest Experience.


Whether supporting analytics for a parade down Main Street, conducting a time study for the Fireworks team, or optimizing the experience for a Guest meeting Mickey Mouse, our team is involved throughout the Disney Live Entertainment show life cycle.


Throughout this internship, you will be able to learn how Disney uses analytical tools to create millions of memories for Guests from around the world. You will apply the skills you learned in the classroom to provide analytic and consulting support to all areas within the Disney Live Entertainment organization. 

What You Will Do 

  • Handle project assignments autonomously to identify, develop, and analyze productivity/process improvement opportunities that will increase operational efficiency and reduce fiscal spending within Entertainment

  • Conduct data analysis projects from idea to implementation by using statistical techniques, conceptual thinking, and Industrial Engineering skills (data collection, process flow analysis, statistical testing, etc.)

  • Lead projects that require interfacing and building relationships with all levels of Cast and management

Examples of project duties:

  • Assist with project management by conducting research, analyzing data and building presentations that succinctly articulate the background, objective and risks and offers a menu of options and strategic recommendations

  • Forecast impacts to the Guest experience when the Entertainment portfolio is modified

  • Facilitate comparative analysis of metrics for global Walt Disney Parks and Resorts

  • Studies may include working outdoors and standing for extended periods

Required Qualifications & Skills 

  • Internship or work experience in an analytical, problem solving, or process improvement role

  • Experience handling multiple tasks with attention to detail in a fast paced environment

  • Demonstrated strong communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and decision-making skills 

  • Proven ability and willingness to learn new software applications and analytical tools

  • Demonstrated analytical, creative problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and act tactically

  • Proficiency with Excel including pivot tables, statistical functions, and lookup formulas

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven knowledge and/or experience with Walt Disney Parks and Resorts

  • Leadership position in an extra-curricular program

Required Education

  • Currently enrolled as a Junior, Senior, or Graduate Student earning a college/university degree in Industrial Engineering, Entertainment/Costuming Business, Project Management, or related analytical field

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information 

Internship Eligibility:

  • Must be enrolled in a college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within the past six (6) months 

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization

  • Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program. 

Additional Information 

  • Must provide full work availability for the duration of the term

  • Must provide reliable transportation during the duration of the internship

Location of position: Orlando, FL

  • Positions will be located in Orlando, FL (Walt Disney World).
