OVERVIEW

The Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) is an MLS soccer club serving the greater Los Angeles area. LAFC is invested in the world's game and Los Angeles, constructing, and developing the 22,000 seat BMO Stadium and a top-flight training center on the campus of Cal-State Los Angeles.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Director, Partnership Solutions will be responsible for conceptualizing and executing sellable programs, assets, and sponsorship ideas that align with brand objectives and provide tangible value for both Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) and its partners. This role will closely work collaboratively and cross-functionally with the other internal departments, such as Marketing and Corporate Partnerships, to ideate, develop, and refine marketable platforms that create mutual benefit across the organization's functions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in entertainment or sports marketing, sponsorship strategy, and partnership development while demonstrating the ability to innovate and operationalize new revenue-generating concepts. This position will be a key driver of LAFC's commercial growth by developing compelling partnership opportunities that are attractive to brands and seamlessly integrate into the club's ecosystem.

LAFC is currently operating on a hybrid work model with a minimum of 1 – 2 in-office days per week. Please note that this may vary by role, and your scheduled in-office days are up to the discretion of your supervisor.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Research, conceptualize, and evaluate innovative partnership opportunities, including branded content, experiential marketing, in-stadium activations, and digital/social platforms. Proactively look at industry trends in sports partnerships, marketing activations, and fan engagement strategies to continually innovate LAFC's sellable assets.
  • Create, package, and present marketable sponsorship platforms that maximize revenue opportunities across LAFC, BMO Stadium, and its other entities.
  • Work with internal teams, such as Marketing, Corporate Partnerships, Content, Community Relations, Stadium Operations, and Ticketing, to identify and develop sponsorship opportunities that drive engagement and value.
  • Develop compelling sales narratives, decks, and presentation materials in collaboration with the Marketing and Business & Data Strategy team that illustrate the benefits and return of investment (ROI) of sponsorship assets to potential brand partners.
  • Manage asset inventory to ensure availability, accurate documentation, and optimized effective usage for partnership sales.
  • Work with the Business & Data Strategy team to utilize insights, analytics, and fan data to inform and refine partnership platforms, ensuring they align with audience interests and brand objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Partnership Success team to facilitate smooth execution of sponsorship deals post close of agreements, ensuring brand activations are aligned with contracted rights and deliverables.
  • Assist in long-term planning for partnership growth, helping LAFC and BMO Stadium expand their commercial portfolio and revenue opportunities.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Management.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sports Management, or related field required.
  • At least 8 years of experience in sponsorship strategy, brand partnerships, or sports/entertainment marketing.
  • Proven success in developing and executing sponsorship platforms and revenue-generating ideas.
  • Experience working with CRM systems (Salesforce, KORE preferred) to manage sponsorship assets and deal flow.
  • Expert knowledge of digital, social media, and experiential marketing trends.
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills spearheading the development of sales narratives through engaging and innovative presentations that include sizzle videos and storytelling design elements.
  • Ability to analyze sponsorship performance metrics and provide data-driven insights.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously while managing requests with cross departmental teams to achieve our goals.

  • Passion for sports, entertainment, and fan engagement, with a creative and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required by LAFC's event schedule.

SALARY RANGE

At LAFC, we carefully consider a wide range of factors to determine a fair and equitable compensation package. The final offer amount will consider a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to skill sets; relevant experience and training. Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure guidelines, the overall range for this role is up to $160,000 per year.
