PART-TIME PRODUCTION ASSISTANT

The purpose of the Part-Time Production Assistant job is to help the assigned Director with his/her duties, as well as duties assigned by the Operations Manager and other needs of the station.

Most of the job duties revolve around newscasts, as well as preparing commercials, programming, and promotions to our on-air format.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Help the assigned Director place a clean and polished looking newscast on the air

· To complete other necessary tasks around the station such as studio maintenance and dubs to our on-air format

· Operate studio cameras, audio console, CG, and video server

· Judging the quality of video clips against our standards of on-air quality

Requirements and Qualifications

· Know how to use most of the equipment in the station operation, such as video servers, audio board, cameras, character generator, and production switcher, or be trainable

· High School diploma or equivalent (required)

· Some relevant experience in television or related industries (preferred)

· At times, this position will have to work weekends and holidays, as we are a 24-hr News operation

· Shift is 3:30am-9:00am Monday-Friday. (Total hours per week: 27.5)
