Position Overview:
In this role, you play a “quarterback” role in advancing and maintaining each digital campaign’s best interests. You will have the opportunity to apply your passions for digital marketing and digital operations to ensure that digital campaigns launch on time, deliver as expected, and achieve our clients’ marketing goals. You will develop a culture of continuous improvement by partnering with and supporting internal and external teams – including sales, account management, ad operations/fulfillment, and our customers – to streamline digital sales operations processes and optimize our sales operations tools and partnerships.
The Director, Digital Sales Operations will report to the Vice President, Performance Digital.
Optimize digital sales processes by streamlining the sales experience for our sales teams and customers.
Implement digital sales enablement strategies that address sales obstacles, remove friction points in our sales process, and improve sales velocity and digital revenue generation.
Evaluate and implement sales enablement processes, technologies, and tools that improve digital sales operations and enhance sales effectiveness across our digital product portfolio.
Oversee the creation of training materials and resources that empower the sales team to succeed.
Continuously gather feedback and analyze performance data to optimize programs and processes.
Regularly report on digital sales operations KPIs.
Lead and mentor a team of digital sales operations professionals, focused on facilitating multi-channel digital marketing programs.
Establish standard-operating-procedures that ensure digital campaigns smooth progression from launch to completion – including unique tasks, timelines, health, accuracy, changes, and performance
Create a culture of continuous improvement across the digital sales operations team and sales operations partners and vendors.
Collaborate daily – maintain high levels of communication both internally with station and corporate teams, as well as externally with clients, vendors, and stakeholders.
Manage vendor relationships to ensure external partners deliver against service level agreements.
Serve as point of contact for escalation issues between sales channels and fulfillment teams. Address and resolve ad hoc issues as needed.
Lead implementation projects for new sales enablement tools and partnerships.
Become a subject-matter expert of company digital platforms and product offerings.
Participate in corporate training events including monthly onboarding sessions, digital sales trainings, Sales Manager meetings and more.
Other duties and special initiatives as assigned.
8+ years of relevant experience in digital sales enablement, sales, or sales operations in a local media environment, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build strong relationships across the organization.
Proven track record of successfully developing and mentoring sales operations teams.
Proven track record of successfully implementing sales operations initiatives that drive sales performance.
Strong project management skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment are a must!
Experience working with various business systems, sales enablement platforms, and digital tools is a major plus. These include, but are not limited to:
