Overview /Objective

The NFL is seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Business Relationship Management & MarTech Products to lead our Marketing Technology (MarTech) initiatives. The Director will be responsible for aligning MarTech solutions with our organization's strategic goals, driving the evolution of our MarTech solutions, and the adoption of new capabilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MarTech and business strategy, possess the ability to take full ownership of initiatives, and demonstrate passion for delivering impactful results. Experience with Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) and other MarTech solutions is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Technology Leadership & Business Planning:

  • Lead the MarTech transformation to enable fan-centric experiences that deliver fan interactions at operational scale.
  • Develop executive-level briefing material and associated analytics to guide program and product decision making.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to executive management around MarTech program and product management best practices, with emphasis on trends and impact for the sports and entertainment industry.
  • Mentor and share best practices with MarTech delivery resources, including third-party partners.
  • Serve as an extended member of stakeholder business teams to ensure ongoing tight collaboration while also bringing business points of view back to cross-functional MarTech leadership.

Strategy & Execution:

  • Oversee end-to-end product management, resolve issues proactively, collaborate with stakeholders to assess and drive the adoption of new and emerging technologies.
  • Develop and implement standardized processes, manage the MarTech budget, and drive operational excellence with a focus on efficiency.
  • Build and execute a delivery roadmap and operating model. Lead cross-functional teams, driving delivery of MarTech solutions, ensuring timely delivery of initiatives, Agile planning, and fostering retrospective learnings for future success.
  • Create and drive a department/enterprise-wide metrics program to measure effectiveness.
  • Develop, in consultation with League and Club stakeholders, as well as MarTech Solutions Architect, an approach to assess the productivity and value impact of new and emerging technologies.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Technology, Business, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of professional experience, with 5+ years of MarTech Transformation and Delivery experience or in Product Management.
  • 7+ years of experience in product/program management, including managing complex and connected products.
  • Proven experience with Real-time Customer Data Platforms (such as Adobe Experience Platform) Marketing orchestration tools (e.g.Adobe Journey Orchestration, Salesforce Marketing Cloud), measurement tools, and other MarTech solutions
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
  • Experience with project management tools such as Smartsheet, Jira, Workfront, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and business executives.
  • Passion for driving results and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the sports and entertainment industry.
  • Experience in developing and leading digital transformation processes.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to develop executive-level briefing materials.
  • PMP Certification a plus
  • Experience coaching and mentoring teams, with a focus on MarTech best practices.

Salary / Pay Range

This job posting contains a pay range, which represents the range of salaries or hourly rates that the NFL believes, in good faith, at the time of this posting that it might be willing to pay for the posted job in the location(s) specified. The NFL expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range. Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, would the NFL consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.

Terms / Expected Hours of Work

  • NFL employees are required to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
