Enterprise Social Responsibility (ESR), also referred to as Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), works on enterprise social purpose strategies and supports The Walt Disney Company's (TWDC) goal of being among the most admired companies in the world. Our employees and cast members are passionate and involved citizens in their local communities and worldwide, contributing their time and talents to great and small causes. Our team is responsible for the development, coordination, and implementation of VoluntEARS campaigns and events across the enterprise.
What You Will Do
As a CSR intern, you will be an integral member of our efforts, reporting directly to the department manager. You will have the opportunity to aid in a wide range of activities and projects that make a significant impact. Every day is different as a CSR Intern, but the responsibilities you can expect to fulfill are:
- Assist in the planning and execution of volunteer activations that support our employees, Cast Members and Disney guests
- Play a crucial role in coordinating volunteer campaigns and events that make a positive difference in the communities Disney serves
- Attend brainstorming meetings and share innovative ideas for events and storytelling opportunities that align with Disney’s social impact goals
- Provide on-the-ground support during the execution of large-scale live events, such as "D23 The Ultimate Disney Fan Event," ensuring the success of these significant initiatives
- Interact with both internal and external partners, including nonprofit organizations, to foster collaboration and strengthen our efforts
- Assist in developing, updating, and coordinating essential project/event planning documents, including agendas, itineraries, tracking grids, presentations and more
- Share creative ideas and insights to help the team continually grow, improve efficiency and enhance collaboration
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Ability to balance multiple projects in a positive, proactive manner
- Attention to detail and ability to learn quickly
- Passion for making a positive impact on communities and society
- Creative approach and a willingness to think outside the box
- Proficiency in MAC Operating System and Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with CSR principles or related coursework
- Experience in volunteering or engaging with nonprofit organizations and events
- Project management experience
- Demonstrated graphic design experience
Education
- A junior, senior or recent graduate pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Social Sciences or a related field
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
- Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
- Must possess unrestricted work authorization
Additional Information
- The approximate dates of this internship are June 2024 - January 2025
- Candidate must be available to work full time hours (approximately 40 hours per week) for the duration of the internship
- Must provide own housing and transportation in the Burbank, California area
The pay rate for this internship in California is $21.70per hour. Select benefits may be provided as part of the compensation package, such as medical, financial and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
