Your New Role

      The Lead – Theatrical, Residuals is responsible for performing setup and processing payments for Theatrical titles. Acts as the expert amongst their peers with regards to Theatrical specific Residuals process. Demonstrates strong understanding of complex residual rules, ensuring compliance with the collective bargaining agreement. Trains other team members on cast setup and payment reviews.

Your Role Accountabilities

  • Ensures that WBD’s Theatrical contractual reporting obligations are met accurately and timely. 
  • This includes: performing and overseeing cast setup, verifying accuracy of payments, and supporting research, claims and forecasting activities.                                               
  • Possesses and continually develops expertise in the areas of entertainment finance, theatrical business practices, Residuals processes, collective bargaining provisions, and core technical systems. 
  • Actively demonstrates expertise through work with labor relations, FCRA departments, Warner business units, IT and external partners.                      
  • Prepares and process payments made outside of the AIRS system to the various foreign unions, including UBCP/ACTRA, MEAA, and Equity as well as guild equivalent payments specific to the Harry Potter and Hobbit film franchises.                                                           
  • Trains other members of the Residuals department on Theatrical related cast setup, sideletters and payment calculations.                                                             
  • Assists with project design activities and participates in testing of fixes and enhancements to Residuals systems.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 7 years payroll, accounting, audit or equivalent entertainment finance experience required.
  • 5 years studio residuals experience specific to Theatrical programs required.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience required.
  • Proven experience with residuals setup and payments of Theatrical programs.
  • Familiarity with Theatrical specific payment and cast setup rules is highly desired.
  • Must have ability to read and understand legal agreements with minimal training.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills required.
  • Strong time management skills to manage multiple tasks required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Windows applications, such as Excel.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of personnel and management.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Must be able to work independently in order to meet tight deadlines under fast paced environment and work overtime, as needed.
  • Must be a confident individual who is an adaptive learner and initiative-taker.

Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $62,797.00 - $116,624.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
