About The Role


IMAX Creative is looking for experienced freelance Storyboard Artists to join our Creative team.


The ideal candidates will have the required qualifications and experience in animation, illustration, and design. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about crafting stories and creating meaningful visuals.


What You’ll Do


  • Collaborate with Head of Creative and Art Director on storytelling direction, design requirements, and expected level of polish for each sequence/brief
  • Pitch rough storyboards to the Head of Creative and Art Director
  • Provide status updates, cleaned-up storyboards with attention to clarity and entertainment value to be presented to IMAX leadership team
  • Ensure storyboards align with the creative goals of the leadership team, deadlines, and storytelling objectives

What You’ll Need


  • 3+ years of storyboarding experience working in Agency, Studio, feature and/or television
  • Strong drawing skills with a demonstrated sense of storytelling, staging, and composition
  • Ability to illustrate the narrative, plan shots and sequences and maintain continuity between settings
  • Ability to reflect and interpret the original intention of the brief and/or script provided
  • Ensure storyboards align with the creative goals and vision
  • Advanced knowledge of Photoshop and/or Storyboard Pro

Compensation


42.10 - 75.00
