Associate Producer/Producer for Podcast Series

Audio Up is looking for a Spanish-fluent Associate Producer/Producer to work on a podcast series about asylum and immigration. The series will serve as the audio companion to a documentary film “Exodus Stories” and will follow the journey of immigrants coming to the Southwest border from south of Mexico and countries like Honduras, El Salvador, Venezuela, Haiti, Cuba, Ecuador, China and Africa. The right person will have significant public radio, journalism, or documentary research experience; having served as a segment or associate producer on a feature doc or series (no shorts please) for at least 3-4 years and looking to make a jump to producing. Must have strong story and writing skills as they will be leading the story development in English and partially in Spanish.  Past podcast or immigration space experience is a huge plus so please let us know in the cover letter. Starts immediately. What You'll Do: Heavy researching talent and stories Supervise field teams and fixers Book interviews with guests and conduct pre-interview calls Create story outlines and beat sheets Work on story arcs Read transcripts and identify soundbites and best storylines Make selects and create an assembly Write host VO scripts Give editor notes Email exodusvoices@gmail.com with resume.
