Vox Media is the leading modern media company. We guide our audience from discovery to obsession. We inspire essential conversations about what's now, what's next, and what's possible. As a community of journalists and storytellers, business professionals, creators and technologists, we believe it is a moral and business imperative to amplify voices: to cultivate diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout our organization and media. This applies to our candidates, our teams, our storytelling, our creative work, and our platforms, products, and partnerships.

We specialize in crafting captivating videos, eye-catching animations, and immersive experiential designs for our clients. We bring ideas to life by blending creativity and technology, producing content that engages and inspires audiences across multiple platforms. From dynamic social media visuals to large-scale interactive experiences, we use our diverse skill set to tell compelling stories that resonate with viewers and spark conversation.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

- Able to manage interdepartmental relationships with poise and professionalism
- A proven track record of solid written and verbal communication and organizational experience.
- Initiative to solve issues independently while also perceiving when to escalate or loop in stakeholders
- An understanding of design and design team culture along with a basic knowledge of the creation of digital content across multiple platforms such as video, illustration,
- animation, and experiential design
- An appreciation for design practice and process to appropriately advocate for design when other members of the team aren't there
- Knowledge of project management software (Monday.com, Airtable, Slack, and Asana)

WHO YOU ARE
What you'll do
- Your primary objective is to make the design organization as effective as possible by enabling designers and their managers to focus on the work
- You'll communicate across departments within Vox Creative such as Production, Post-Production, Events, Creative Development, Client Relations, Experiential, Operations, and other Project Managers
- While your day-to-day focus will be on the project assignments of the design & animation team, you'll possess a broad view of the work and strategy through constant communication with partner teams and with the Design Director, occasionally lending assistance to cross functional projects
- You'll facilitate the team's understanding of priorities, by tracking projects in our various project management systems
- You'll build relationships with stakeholders and become a trusted voice of the design team
- You'll handle the logistics of relationships with external parties, such as contractors or vendors, for design or animation projects. This includes outreach, contracting, and requesting appropriate system access.
- You'll own the overall Design budgets, including confirming allocations, negotiating rates with external parties, tracking committed costs, and ensuring all payroll and invoices are processed.
- You'll be a resource for designers to stay informed of timeline changes and all changes in priorities
- Along with your Design Leaders, you'll be responsible for making sure delivered work is on brief, conforms with our quality standards, and adheres to our company and team values
This is a temporary, project-based role. Project-based employees (PBEs) are hired on a temporary basis to render services for a discrete project, production and for a pre-established period through an authorized payroll service provider.
