Spring Internship

Film Review

The world's longest-running film annual, Film Review has been celebrating cinema since 1944. It was the first book of its kind to cover an entire year of 'filmgoing' and which invited industry professionals to comment on their craft. What began as a UK publication, now has a dedicated international online audience.

About the role:

Film Review is currently seeking a movie-loving, tech-savvy intern to assist with brand related projects. Tasks will focus on expanding our presence on Letterboxd, helping us maintain our social media channels, as well as provide experience editing electronic press kit video content from the major studios for our Youtube channel, along with other projects as needed. Some basic editing experience is preferred and the intern must have Adobe Premiere Pro access (typically available for free through your University). Students who have an interest in classic film are encouraged to apply.

Depending on University guidelines, this non-paid internship may be applied for course credit. In this remote role, the intern will typically serve between 10-15 hours per week (depending on schedule/University requirements). This includes hands-on virtual work with the Digital Editor, as well as lab hours where interns will view our Cinema Series (two films per week) and learn to craft reviews in the Film Review house style. The schedule will be set based on the selected interns’ schedules and availability. This is a 10-week internship experience.
