What You’ll Do
Media Negotiating & Buying – 25%
-
Oversee and assist in RFP creation and review of partners/site responses, compiles proposal analysis and drive partner negotiations

Ensure accuracy of insertion orders within internal systems tool to reserve advertising space and is responsible for accuracy of plan details and confirmation of delivery ensuring proper protocol
-
Initiate and guide team collaboration with key partners during planning process, including Partners, Creative Agencies and biddable activation teams (e.g. Paid Search, Paid Social, Programmatic)

Work alongside other Horizon Next teams (Business Solutions, Investment, etc.) towards 360 partnerships, incorporating relevant extensions
-
Collaborate with Horizon Next Paid Social team to monitor, manage and optimize activations across Facebook, Twitter and other relevant social environments, ensuring strategic alignment with digital tactics
Digital Media Strategy – 15%

Collaborate with supervisor on strategy, guiding assistant and planner in plan development
-
Employ Horizon Next’s suite of planning, evaluation and buying tools for application/analysis into competitive landscape, target digital consumption support, plan development and reporting
-
Participate in team brainstorms to kick off plan and consideration set development with the intention of bringing great ideas to life
-
Monitor trends, tools, opportunities and applications in biddable environments, and appropriately apply that knowledge in conjunction with performance teams
-
Guide and participate in creation and presentation of media specific documents such as media plans, objectives and strategies decks, and other related functions
Campaign Management & Execution – 10%
-
Oversee trafficking and site tagging, follow through to ensure sites are enabled, and functioning properly, QA’ing all pixels
-
Ensure accuracy of specs documents and that all materials are received from creative agency
-
Delegate and provide direction on campaign post launch information such as screenshots, links and placement information to demonstrate proof of placement for clients

Work alongside assistant and planner on post campaign reconciliation and billing
Reporting & Analysis –25%
-
Monitor and report weekly on biddable and direct channel performance, providing an active voice communicating optimization opportunities and challenges; ensure accuracy of reporting from planner
-
Parse through large datasets to provide critical thinking and analysis, as well as draw conclusions and discover actionable implications
-
Collaborate with Horizon Next Analytics & Business Intelligence teams to aggregate data and ensure standardization across Next accounts

Responsible for providing data for dashboards/Excel trackers, as needed by account, ensuring accuracy and validity of data shown
-
Provide active voice in communication optimization strategies, proactively communicating challenges and opportunities across display, mobile, social and video
Relationship Management – 15%
-
Recommend solutions to problems proactively, in tandem with Supervisor, for direct team and other Horizon Next departments
-
Have foresight and understanding of projects to maintain and adjust timing of deliverables for team at large, communicating changes to managers and leadership
-
Apply knowledge of current/previous clients’ specific business and industry to enhance and further relationships
-
Maintain a strong presence across Horizon Next departments (i.e. Business Solutions, Operations, Analytics, Biddable Teams), building trust and accountability

Begin serving as a resource and trusted partner for clients
Mentorship – 10%
-
Contribute to other junior team member(s) development (train Assistant Planners and Planners, onboard new Senior Planners)
-
Schedule check ins with junior team members, identifying goals and opportunities for career development, contribute to performance management
-
Utilize past experiences to develop Planner’s mentorship skills and abilities
-
Provide education on best practices, media principals, and industry at large
-
Participate in interview process for Assistant/Planner roles

Preferred Skills & Experience

1.5+ years previous digital media experience
-
Understanding of advanced analytics and performance media
-
Familiarity with marketing principles, analytics and concepts
-
Skilled in Excel and PowerPoint with the ability to discuss how those functions can or should be applied relative to the media planning process
-
Experience in negotiating and constructing digital media plans
-
Robust proficiency in basic functions within systems and tools related to the media planning process (i.e. media management system, billing system, competitive and targeting tools)
-
Mastery of third-party ad servers
-
Familiarity with biddable channels and partner direct

Salary Range: $1,237.50 to $1,538.46 a week. A successful applicant’s actual weekly or hourly rate may vary based upon, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure/certifications, and equity.
