About the Role:
Disney Consumer Products (DCP) is the division of Disney Experiences that brings beloved brands and franchises into the daily lives of families and fans through products – from toys to t-shirts, apps, books, console games, and more – and experiences that can be found around the world, including on the shopDisney e-commerce platform and at Disney Parks, local and international retailers, as well as Disney store locations globally. The business is home to world-class teams of product, licensing, and retail experts, artists and storytellers, and technologists who inspire imaginations around the world.
The DCP Public Relations Communications Intern will support the team with a wide variety of public relations and communications efforts.
This internship is a full-time opportunity located in Orlando, Florida, for a duration of six months starting in June 2025 to January 2026.
What You Will Do:
Every day is different, but the responsibilities you can expect to fulfill are:
- Attend brainstorms and meetings to generate ideas for Communications/Public Relations activations, pitches, blog posts, agenda, and note-taking management
- Assist as needed at media events - including content capturing, media hosting, and routing event assets
- Draft media pitches, blog posts, and other materials
- Assist with media and influencer lists, track coverage, and update PR calendars
- Assist with project management, including campaign tracking, priority product lists, and note-taking
- Manage miscellaneous department and administrative needs
- Shipping, tracking, receiving, and organizing product samples

- Strong writer with the ability to learn to write conversationally and with a “Disney” tone
- A strong understanding of pop culture, retail trends, and the entertainment industry
- An organized self-starter who is eager to assist on a wide range of projects
- Excellent attention to detail
- Knowledge of AP style
It Would Also Be Great If You Have/are Familiar With
- Strong knowledge of Disney Intellectual Property—from movies and theme parks to television, streaming services, etc.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Keynote, Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, iOS operating system, Smartsheet
- Previous communications experience
- An ability to write for various platforms and a love of storytelling
Education
- Senior year preferred
- Pursuing a degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
- Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at the time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
- Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess unrestricted work authorization.
Additional Information
- This internship is a full-time, six-month commitment in the Orlando, FL area from June 2025 until January 2026.
- Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship.
- Fully available Monday through Friday for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week.
- Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the Orlando, FL area.
- Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work.
- Be compliant with The Disney Look appearance guidelines.

The pay rate for this role in Orlando, FL is $22.00 per hour.
