About the Role:
Disney Consumer Products (DCP) is the division of Disney Experiences that brings beloved brands and franchises into the daily lives of families and fans through products – from toys to t-shirts, apps, books, console games, and more – and experiences that can be found around the world, including on the Disney Store e-commerce platform and at Disney Parks, local and international retailers, as well as Disney Store locations globally. The business is home to world-class teams of product, licensing, and retail experts, artists and storytellers, and technologists who inspire imaginations around the world.
The DCP Communications Intern will support multiple teams with a wide variety of communications and public affairs efforts.
This internship is a full-time opportunity located in Orlando, Florida, for a duration of six months starting in June 2025 to January 2026.
What You Will Do:
Every day is different, but the responsibilities you can expect to fulfill are:
- Create and produce content for external and internal communications vehicles, including the company intranet site, blog posts, and more
- Develop and design graphics and digital content across a variety of mediums, including infographics, short-form videos, presentations, printed signage, and more
- Support planning and day-of needs for employee events, including content capturing, logistics, and more
- Assist in media monitoring and analysis to help provide strategic communication recommendations to Public Affairs executives
- Help provide vetting support and risk analysis for various DCP engagements with celebrities, brands, content creators, and others
- Assist the Business-to-Business team with updating DCPs licensee portal
- Help develop and maintain an editorial calendar
- Assist with building a media list
- Support DCPs collaboration with Make-A-Wish through fulfillment of DCP products for wishes and support for events
- Assist with volunteer activities benefitting charities
- Conduct research to support Corporate Social Responsibility activities
Please Apply If You Are/Have
- An organized self-starter who is eager to assist on a wide range of projects
- Demonstrated knowledge and use of basic graphic/presentation design and video editing software
- Excellent attention to detail with project leadership experience
- Experience in Microsoft Office, Keynote, Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, iOS operating system and Smartsheet
- Event planning and execution experience
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Proficient in AP style
It Would Also Be Great If You Have/are Familiar With
- Strong knowledge of Disney Intellectual Property—from movies and theme parks to television, streaming services, etc.
- Previous communications or related experience working for a large, global organization
- An ability to write for various platforms and a love of storytelling
- A solid understanding of pop culture, retail trends, and the entertainment industry
- Ability to maintain confidential information
Education
- Junior or Senior year preferred
- Pursuing a degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing or a related field
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
- Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at the time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
- Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess unrestricted work authorization.
Additional Information
- This internship is a full-time, six-month commitment in the Orlando, FL area from June 2025 until January 2026.
- Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship.
- Fully available Monday through Friday for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week.
- Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the Orlando, FL area.
- Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work.
- Be compliant with The Disney Look appearance guidelines.

The pay rate for this role in Orlando, FL is $22.00 per hour.
