This person will assist in the planning & development, implementation, and administration of compensation and benefits programs for Cast Members, Imagineers and Crew within Disney Experiences. They will be responsible for providing counsel to leaders pertaining to the total rewards strategy of their workforce. They will also assist with researching and evaluating alternative programs to help attract, retain and engage the employees in the organization.

This role will focus specifically on our Disney Cruise Line workforce and will lead a variety of initiatives, ranging from internal process improvements to client driven programs. These responsibilities include: leading a team in the administration of the compensation and benefits programs and processes, industry research, salary quotes,  conducting benchmark studies to determine market position; collaborating with and influencing our partners from other segments in providing recommendations; and providing recommendations to senior leaders within the organization.

Given the global nature of compensation and benefits, this position will have the opportunity to interface and work with peers and leaders from other parts of The Walt Disney Company, including other segment compensation and benefits partners, to gain and share a broad knowledge of compensation practices. The position will report directly to the Senior Manager, Compensation and will help to collaborate and influence perspectives.

What You Will Do

  • Leads a team in the administration of Disney Cruise Line compensation and benefit programs.

  • Develops, implements and administers compensation and benefits, such as annual salary planning, short- and long-term incentives, salary increases and medical insurance, long term/short term disability and retirement programs. 

  • May provide services in Executive Compensation & Benefits, International Compensation & Benefits, and other specialized areas of Compensation & Benefits 

  • Responsible for implementing team priorities and accountable for ensuring tasks are completed guided by policies, procedures and business plans.

  • Collaborate with HR & other key business partners in developing creative solutions for strategic initiatives and priorities

  • Independently leads complex client requests & relationships

  • Leads large-scale analyses across segments such as the development of benefit programs and enhancements

  • Shapes or guides in the development of and testing of new and updated compensation and benefits tools, processes and systems

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to identify, develop and improve upon work processes and priorities

  • Minimum 5 years of experience (within the last 5 years) in Finance, Human Resources or related field

  • Demonstrated computer proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

  • Shown strength in database management

  • Collaboration and Influencing skills

  • Solid sense of collaboration and business-oriented approach

  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to interact with all levels of leadership

  • Analytical, problem solving, partnering and program-design skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated leadership experience

  • Demonstrable experience in compensation and/or benefits

  • Experience with Workday and/or compensation planning systems

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Human Resources or equivalent experience
