As a Project Specialist in the Worldwide Safety Assurance team, you will be a part of keeping our Guest and Cast Members safe. You will focus on project planning, video analytics, data analysis, and collaborate with stakeholders to drive projects that improve safety and reduce risk within the Disney Experiences organization.
This is a Project Hire with no guarantee of permanent placement with an estimated end date of 9/27/2025.
The Project Specialist will report to the Team Leader, Video Analytics
What You Will Do
On any given day, as a Project Specialist you might:
Project Planning and Execution
- Assist with coordination of project activities, ensuring tasks are completed on time and within budget.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and develop mitigation strategies.
- Conduct regular project status meetings and provide timely updates
- Perform onsite walks with affiliated partners and local Parks leadership.
Video Analytics Implementation and Configuration
- Assist in the implementation of video analytics solutions, including the installation and configuration of hardware and software components.
- Work with technical teams to integrate video analytics technologies with existing systems.
- Conduct testing and identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users on video analytics systems and functionalities.
Data Analysis and Insights
- Apply video analytics tools and software to analyze data and extract meaningful insights.
- Identify patterns, trends, and anomalies in video data to improve operational efficiency and decision-making.
- Generate reports and visualizations to communicate findings and recommendations
Collaboration and Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including audio/visual, engineering services, operations, and security, to ensure seamless integration of video analytics projects.
- Engage with external vendors and partners for the development and implementation of video analytics solutions.
- Communicate project updates, requirements, and technical information to the project team. Serve as a subject matter expert on video analytics technologies.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to provide guidance and feedback to encourage achieving team and project goals.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work 2nd and 3rd Shift
Preferred Qualifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Familiarity with machine learning concepts, API and IOT integrated systems a plus
- Smartsheet expertise
Education
- Bachelor's Degree

The hiring range for this position in California is $71,000.00-$95,100.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
