Premiere Assistant Editor

Black Valley Films, an award-winning documentary production company based in Los Angeles and helmed by Academy Award-nominated director Scott Hamilton Kennedy, is seeking a talented and creative Premiere Assistant Editor to help on multiple exciting projects ranging from short-form social media marketing to feature-length documentaries. Some projects last a few days, and some can last several weeks or months. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in video editing, excellent communication skills, and boundless creativity. Some projects will require in-person work, so Los Angeles-based candidates only. Pay will be based on experience. Immediate needs: Output/delivery for 88 minute feature to PBS broadcast and PBS online streaming; closed-captioning creation and QC’ing. Film is already colored and mixed. Short-form social media content editing and/or mastering - DOE.

Rate Range: $20/hr - $100/hr DOE.
