Paid Search Specialist

AKA NYC is seeking a passionate, highly analytical, and detail-oriented Paid Search Specialist to join our growing performance marketing team. As the Paid Search Specialist, you’ll be responsible for managing and optimizing paid search and Google Ads campaigns for our clients across live entertainment, attractions, and destinations. Whether it’s driving awareness, leads, or sales, you’ll own the end-to-end execution and innovation of this channel to help our clients reach their business objectives.
The ideal candidate has a growth mindset, deep Google Ads experience, and an interest in live entertainment, theatre, and/or the performing arts. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Performance Marketing, the Paid Search Specialist is a full-time exempt role based in New York City.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Plan, launch, manage, and optimize paid search campaigns across platforms, including Google Ads and Microsoft Ads (Bing), as well as campaigns within Google Ads like Performance Max, YouTube, and Display
- Conduct keyword research to identify new opportunities and optimize existing keyword portfolios
- Develop and implement bidding strategies, conduct A/B testing to improve performance metrics, and analyze campaign data for trends and insights
- Monitor and administer web analytic dashboards, reports, and key reporting tools, highlighting key areas in line with client goals
- Generate weekly and monthly reports for all major metrics, goal tracking, revenue tracking, and other paid search initiatives
- Manage and allocate budgets to maximize ROI and achieve business objectives, ensuring campaigns stay within financial limits
- Communicate with the team on project development, timelines, and results, and work closely with colleagues to meet client goals
- Stay up to date with SEM and PPC industry trends and developments
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
- 3-5 years of experience managing Paid Search (PPC) campaigns within Google Ads, including Performance Max, YouTube, and Display
- Google Ads / Bing Certification or equivalent knowledge
- Strong understanding of key performance metrics (e.g., CPC, CTR, CPA, CAC, ROAS, CVR, CPM, Imp. Share, etc) to identify optimization opportunities
- Knowledgeable about channel best practices, from campaign setup to targeting and creative
- Experience with Google Grants and GA4, plus familiarity with analytics tools like Google Data Studio, Tableau, or PowerBI
- Excellent communication, analytical, organizational, project management, and time management skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a deadline-driven environment
- A passion for live theatre, arts, culture, attractions, and/or tourism is a plus!

- A competitive salary between $65,000 - $75,000, commensurate with experience.
