News Production Lead Director

Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Production Lead to oversee our video production team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in post-production and video editing, with proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects. As a Production Lead, you will be responsible for guiding the production process from concept to completion, ensuring high-quality output that meets our creative standards.

Responsibilities

• Direct the newscasts
• Supervise Control Room activity
• Tape daily cut-ins
• Make sure all field and in-house lives are ready with picture and mic check before each show
• Direct and switch the shows
• Make sure the sets are set up properly for shows
• Check lighting to make sure it will be ready for shows
• Check commercial log
• Other duties as assigned by management
• Assist with Master Control duties as needed
• Collaborate with News Dept. employees to produce clean newscasts
• Supervise and train production staff
• Supervise and train master control staff
• Oversee that schedules are been maintained.
• Oversee cross-training in production department.

Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of broadcast operations.
• Management and decision-making skills.
• Able to sit for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 15 lbs.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, high stress environment.

• 8 hour shift
• Evening shift
