Compensation Range: $110,000 - 130,000 per year
We're seeking an Associate Creative Director to lead and inspire a team of writers while driving compelling, brand-aligned copy across integrated campaigns, digital experiences, and thought leadership. This role blends hands-on creativity with strategic oversight to elevate storytelling, engage audiences, and achieve business goals.
Responsibilities:
- Lead copy development for significant client accounts, establishing creative direction and tone of voice across various projects.
- Develop high-quality long- and short-form copy while mentoring and guiding junior and mid-level writing talent.
- Produce polished, client-ready deliverables with minimal supervision and revisions.
- Translate strategic brand insights and business objectives into clear and compelling messaging for diverse media channels (digital, print, social, experiential, video, etc.).
- Take ownership of understanding and applying brand language guidelines, including tone, style, industry-specific terms, and legal requirements.
- Collaborate with Strategy and Account teams to ensure creative solutions effectively support business goals.
- Work closely with Art Directors and Designers to create unified and integrated creative concepts.
- Confidently present creative ideas to internal teams and clients, clearly articulating the rationale and strategic alignment.
- Offer constructive feedback and creative direction during reviews to enhance the quality of all written materials.
- Stay informed about industry trends, cultural developments, and new platforms to ensure creative work is innovative and relevant.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 7 years of copywriting experience within an advertising, marketing, or similar creative setting, including at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.
- Strong preference for substantial, demonstrable experience working with B2B clients.
- Proven track record of delivering conceptual and strategic thinking that leads to measurable business outcomes.
- A strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of high-quality copy across various platforms.
- Excellent writing and editorial skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Demonstrated experience in presenting and effectively communicating ideas to clients.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Exceptional leadership abilities, including the capacity to inspire, mentor, and motivate creative teams.
- Solid understanding of integrated marketing campaigns and a digital-first approach.
- Comfortable collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams, including Strategy, Account Management, Media, and Production.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices, content strategy, and digital storytelling is advantageous.
- Experience in video production (scriptwriting, casting, directing, etc.) is a plus.
